@valenti7itsumo Sorry, but YES THEY DO EAT DOGS in North and South Korea, and there's lots of evidence right here on youtube and at google. I don't know about Japan. I also have a friend who was a Buddhist Monk in South Korea, he has told me that they eat dogs where he comes from and he still has nightmares of screaming dogs at night as they were being tortured before killing them. It's supposed to be illegal, but the law isn't taken seriously...

I know several parts of Asia /do/ eat dogs and cats, I have heard of Korean dishes involving it. And shit, I'm Vietnamese, so I know about it but I said Japan was one of the few that does not do it. Don't get all butthurt and up in arms

Bulldogs are my personal fave breed.

wow? paying for toilet paper? I would probably carry some with me if that were the case.

Pets are really rare in Japan mainly because most people live in apartments with rules against the ownership of any animals.

Pet ownership is rare because the Japanese are insane about cleanliness.
I was so surprised at having to pay money for dispensable toilet paper in a public bathroom. xDD
I can see why not many are pet owners.
That's so grossly misinformed. Japan and Korea DO NOT eat dogs. They are considered pets there too, and are loved by their owners.
The only reason people ate dogs in the 1950s was because of the war. There was nothing to eat, so people had to survive by scavenging whatever they could. The practice does not continue, but some very poor, rural country areas in Asia still eat dogs. Definitely not the majority. If you presented an Asian city person with the idea they would likely be disgusted.

Pet ownership rare in Japan? That's very untrue.
