Fall For You A Jonas Story Chapter 9

Recap: Joe knocked on Jillian's door. "Come in." she said. "Jillian, hey, um yeah i wanted to ask you something." Joe said. "Ok" Jillian said.

Jillian's P.o.v
Why was Joe acting so weird. He normally just said what he was feeling. He never studdered like this. "Joeee, what did you want to ask me." I said "Oh, yeah right, um well I kinda wanted to know. Um ok I'm just going to come right out and say this." he said. "Anytime now." I said joking with him making him smile. Oh how I loved that smile. But I could never tell him that. He was my best friend. "Do you wanna go on a date with me?" Joe finally said. He saw the shocked look on my face. I totally wasnt expecting that. I didn't know what to say. The first thought that came to my mind was what about Zac. He saw that I had to think about my answer and said"I guess your not ready for us to be like that yet." and he walked out of my room. I walked out after him I couldn't leave him to feel this way. I could see right through him now. "Joe, wait." I said. "What, it's fine you don't have to run after me and say you'll go out with me just to make me feel better." He said, I could see the hurt in his eyes. "It's not that I don't want to go out with you its just that.." I said leaving my statement open ended. "It's just that you think its too soon because of Zac. Well I'm sorry but it has been months since he has died. He isn't coming back." He said very angrily.

Joe's P.o.v.
Did I just say that. I saw the tears forming in her eyes. " Jillian, no that came out wrong. I didn't mean it that way." But she had already ran into her room and closed the door. I had to fix this, our friendship meant more to me than anythig. I opened her door to see her on her bed crying. "Jillian I'm sorry. Really I didn't mean for it to come out that way." I said. "Oh, really because it sure sounded like you meant it. I'm sorry that you don't understand what it's like to loose someone. I loved him and you have no idea how i feel some days." she said to me. " I know you're right, but you don't understand how hard it is to look at you everyday and know that we are just friends." I said. "Well, ugh I don't know." she said. "You don't know what. Come on, at least talk to me." I said trying to covince her to tell me what was wrong. "Today was Zac's...birthday." she said. " Oh my god, I didn't know. I'm sorry. Why didn't you tell me." I asked feeling like an idiot for just yelling at her about Zac. " I don't know, I didn't think you would care." she said as she lowered her head. "You didn't think I would care? Then I guess you don't know how much I care about you. And that I always want to be there for you." I said to her. She looked up and I saw the tears in her eyes. What she really needed right now was a friend and that was all I could give her right now. She put her head on my shoulder and I put my arms around her.

Jillian's P.o.v
I was now crying on Joe's shoulder. I loved him, or maybe I should say strongly liked but I just couldn't deal with the pressure of being his girlfriend yet. I couldn't make him happy. I looked up my cheeks stained from my tears and I said"I'm sorry." "You have nothing to be sorry for." Joe said and he kissed my forehead. We then laid down on my bed and I fell asleep in his arms.
