My father, he died in 1980, loved this opera of Mussorgsky above all opera's. I grew up with this fantastic music and still love it.
And still prefer the original orchestration above the re-orchestrated versions by Rimsky_Korsakov and Shostakovitch
And I like Khovantchina too!

@tisthegifttobesimple LOL! IMO age and Russian-ness have little to do with it - music and Epic Awesome are universal. (but for the record I'm 22 and not Russian either) :D

The tenor is Vladislav Piavko. One of the Bolshoi Theater strongest soloists.
