In this tutorial I explain what sidechaining is and how it works in the FL Studio mixer. Then use it to pump or duck the volume of a PAD sound with a KICK using Fruity Limiter.

Sidechain sends were introduced with FL Studio 9.

NOTE: Sidechaining is just one use of multiple-input effect plugins, FL Studio supports multiple input and output plugin instruments and effects. Other effect uses may be things like vocoding, see Vocodex http://www.image-line.com/documents/v... and Mid/Side decoding, see Fruity Stereo Shaper http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/h...

Of course for instruments like FPC or Slicex http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/h... it means you can route each drum pad or slice to a unique mixer track.

Regards Scott
