@wd1250 No, no, it's really NOT. Plus, the majority of us don't carry around lightsabers.

@Setanaoko Well, I would say it's fairly similar to Zen Buddhism. Wouldn't you? Or perhaps Taoism. Although there are many sects and subsects of Jediism.

@jackthefrenchguy I'm not really into the whole Zen thing, but there are some similarities-but Zen Buddhism doesn't really have the hero's journey incorporated into it (from what I can tell-I may have just missed it entirely though). Perhaps the best person to ask that question would be John Phelan of Temple of the Jedi Order who is an actual Zen Master. :)

I wouldn't mind starting up a Jedi chapter, but ours will be hardcore. Martial arts training along with force sensitivity training. Been practicing, so don't make an padawan/apprentice actually do the job reserved for masters of the force. Gimme about one more year of self training and I will be close to an master =)

I will gladly demonstrate too, the force is getting stronger with me.

You do shed a lot of wisdom that is true. I believe we should have one church however, the groups of Jediism should look into this idea, one church is one voice and we could get much more done.
