Hundreds of thousands of philippino women leave home every year to work as domestic helpers each hoping to seek a better life in a foreign land. In a city where domestic helpers are as common as the local inhabitants, how many employers can honestly say they understand their helpers like a friend or a family member? Each one of these women come with their own story that is overlooked much too often. Some are mothers, some are university graduates, some are newlyweds, but they all share one thing in common. They leave the people they love behind for the lure of a higher salary.

  • love the story this is real life

  • This is very touching... like many people have helpers in Hong Kong. Maybe they will try and understand their helpers more and try their best to help them. It's very hard work for these helpers. What if YOU were the one in this situation? I always try and communicate with my helper and tell some jokes to her. I feel blessed to live in Hong Kong!

  • Its amazing and impressive!my friend and her group played good music n song, never give up!Even we just DH in HK but we r same human with others inthe world.

  • this made me cry! great message... people need to be reminded of this.

  • Life back here in the Philippines, is tough. People go out of the country to look for work. Domestic helpers, IT graduates, engineers, doctors, nurses, You name it,& almost all the country in the world has a filipino working.

for what? LOVE. Love for their families. Love for what they do, Love for their children,

THey sacrifice a lot , even to the point of leaving them just to have some kind of a better life.

Please treat my country men, these Filipinos with respect. They deserve it.

  • not a bad job at all ^^
