true... its panthera... but panther is not an oficial name... black leopards and jaguars are usally called panters mostly by people who think that they are a diferent species

Both are jaguars! One happens to just have a darker pigmentation. Leopards have simple rosettes while jaguars have rosettes with spots in them. And do some research if you try and prove you are right.

Jaguars have rosettes that have spots in them, the leopard has just simple rosettes. And call the darker pigmented leopard or jaguar a melanistic leopard or jaguar, or at least a black leopard or jaguar.
