Lakshmi Karan is Riders for Health's Director, Global Strategy. She was previously Riders' programme officer at the Skoll Foundation. In this short interview, recorded while she was still at the Skoll Foundation she explains a little more about what social enterprise is, what the Skoll Foundation is doing to support organisations like Riders and how this is changing the world.

The Skoll Foundation was created in 1999 by eBays first president, Jeff Skoll, to promote his vision of a more peaceful and prosperous world. Today, the Skoll Foundation drives large-scale change by investing in, connecting and celebrating social entrepreneurs and other innovators dedicated to solving the worlds more pressing problems.

  • I think you guys are doing awesome work! There are many organizations that are trying to make a difference in many fronts but nothing like empowering the people to making a change through owning the process. Way to go!
