@pdorn777 You're citing the film's release but Curry had been playing the role live for several years in the play at this point. It's possible that Bowie mentions Currie in one of his interviews.

Well, since people are talking about who influenced who... it looks like Bowie is doing a pretty good imitation of Tim Curry who was playing in The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the time of this recording. The costumes and the facial expressions of Bowie are clearly influenced by that production.

@DaBroskiBro Shame on me for being so ignorant! Thank God guys like you can take me out of the darkness. No need to be rude, you know, talking about ignorance! Well, if she claims she is inpired by Bowie, it would be nice she steals a bit of his creative genious, with both words and music. I am not a specialist of Gaga, she might have a few good songs and she seems to be a musician, but a lot of her songs are very average, sorry. Not to be compared with Bowie. But she is an artist, no doubt.

@wondermig your ignorance astonishes me. Gaga never claimed to have been the first one to dress in outlandish costumes. It's her fans who claim she did. She simply says she's inspired by artists like Bowie.

oh my god i hate her for so many reasons, but this has got to be the number one reason why i hate her.....look at what she's doing to bowie! He looks so hot ansd she's totally ruining it :( grrr....
