  • Or what? are u Male or female. Yes,Monts and I dated for almost 3 yrs. Stayed with Him in Midtown at Ray Brown's old apt.

A temultous relationship .. but I was only 20,21,23. and stup/ Naive. Uh hum...

We went on the road . He invited Emily.R. ...who is now passed. If you know how to reach MA. please tell him I wnt to speak w/ Him. Thank U

  • @jawbella What do you mean? You dated him or what.

  • I met Herb many years ago when he played with the " Great Guitars" with my old mate Barney Kessel

    Magic music, for certain sure.

Ray Brown was a great friend to UK bassist Len Skeat..another great friend.

Monty...i never met but what a guy!

Thanks for posting this superb stuff.

  • @jawbella huuuh??

  • Was there at that time w/ Monty. Yeah, I wanted to b happy too. lol He was acting prtty strange then. We still lived together, I walked on Egg shells. U never know who you're with until they show their true self? :(

  • The tune is "I want to be happy " at a frenetic tempo. Herb cannot deny his western-picking upbringing in his style : the mandolin style is there.

    Charles

  • With Monty's playing, I get that same Oscar feeling, but Monty still makes it his own!

  • Nobody could tie together phrases better than Herb. Very much missed......RIP, Herb.
