I met Herb many years ago when he played with the " Great Guitars" with my old mate Barney Kessel
Magic music, for certain sure.
Ray Brown was a great friend to UK bassist Len Skeat..another great friend.
Monty...i never met but what a guy!

Was there at that time w/ Monty. Yeah, I wanted to b happy too. lol He was acting prtty strange then. We still lived together, I walked on Egg shells. U never know who you're with until they show their true self? :(

The tune is "I want to be happy " at a frenetic tempo. Herb cannot deny his western-picking upbringing in his style : the mandolin style is there.

Yeah, this really was a fantastic group...my favorite recordings are "Triple Treat II" and "Overseas Special".
