  • I'm curious - legitimately curious, not just being an asshole - what you didn't like about it? Like, specifically? Because I was literally riveted for the entire two plus hours, have seen subsequent productions done by regional comapny etc. can listen to the CD ad nauseum and never get bored of it. Obviously, there are certain songs I like more than others and all that, but - and I don't been this as an insult in any way- I don't understand how anyone can find it boring. Care to discuss?

  • I know the show was flawed, but God how I love this score.

  • I have never heard of this show but it looks very interesting. I live in Southampton and the Titanic is a big part of our histor, sio, for me, there can never be too many books, films, plays, songs, essays, etc about it. I know that alot of people HATE the James Cameron film but I think that anything that makes audiences aware of the tragedy and feel for those who lost their lives that night can only be a good thing

  • TITANIC IS BETTER THAN AVATAR. THAT IS A FACT. HOWEVER, AVATAR HAS MADE $940 MILLION MORE THAN TITANIC. WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO CHANGE THIS. TITANIC IS BEING RE-RELEASED INTO CINEMAS IN 3D NEXT YEAR TO CELEBRATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SINKING OF TITANIC. IF EVERYONE GOES TO SEE IT, THEN TITANIC WILL RECLAIM IT'S CORRECT POSITION AS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FILM OF ALL TIME. TELL ALL OF YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO GET OUT AND GO TO SEE IT. ALSO, PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE

  • They should bring this show back. The songs were amazing.

  • @Megfly I thought the show was very admirable and some of the music thrilling. The stories were more humanized than in the movie. My only gripe would be some of the special effects, particuarly the scene where the piano falls last when it actually would have gone first because of it's weight. I know this might sound like quibbling but that was supposed to be "the" scene to show the impact of the crash. I thought the cast was perfect and the voices stirring. It deserved to run longer.

  • i love this show i did this show last year @ school

  • @Megfly:

    Me too! I TOTALLY AGREE!

  • OMG, really?!? You are soooo unbelieveably lucky! That must have been an awesome experience. My theatre group is doing hte show soon and I jumped for joy when I found out because it means I'll get to sing this music (if I get in). It's so beautiful!

  • i totally agree with you(on the second part @ least...about how brilliant the show is) I accually have worked with Kevin Stites, the musical director of this show a couple of times. He has flown up from NYC to work with my school and we did the very first concert version of TITANIC. I only played a third class passenger(...so I died/sank) but i still got to work with him, which was way cool.

  • hahaah yea. i guess since it happened, it technically IS history...but not like the HISTORY that the accuall show is about. haha. good point.
