  • I get inspired every time I watch this video. You make it seem so simple to sample and chop on maschine. Now I cant make my mind up between this or an MPC. Knock, are you running just turntable and maschine? Do you use an MPC? For a first timer, what would you suggest...mpc or maschine?

  • @tylawtheboss Whats up. I dont use an MPC..I have owned the 2000 3000 and MPC 60...I use maschine now. No diss to the MPC... just that maschine is more powerful (for me) I run turntable into the audio interface and sample into maschine

  • @KnockSquared Dope ass beat my dude. I've been an avid MPC 2000 to XL user. Of course now I'm tired of recording my beats into the computer so I need the convenience of making my beat in the computer. So what do you think? MPC studio or Maschine? Can Maschine spread out the octaves on the 16 pads like the MPC's 16 levels? 16 levels is a very important feature for what I do. If I can find a way to do that on Maschine, I'll get it. If not, I'm a wait 'til summer time on that MP

  • @FS890 What up. Press the pad mode button and then each pad is like playing notes on a keyboard...meaning 16 different notes

  • Knock see when youv'e pitched up and done your sample chops how do you match it to a hip hop tempo? Do you always just throw the metronome on and just match it by ear? I been using auto slice on maschine so far but wanna start maually cutting now to use more parts of a song on one bank if you get me? At the moment im cutting a loop of a sample i want in fl then dragging the wav to maschine and auto slicing then rearranging the chops but i wanna move on from that

  • this is so awesome im studying this video to learn how to get started with my maschine! thumbs up!! ...also, so glad you updated your recordings of your videos to 720p lol

  • @samstermunch I gotcha. It does notes. On the MP, you've got the 16 levels (octaves). I can change the octaves of the samples. But I am ready to move on to the Maschine. I've created so many projects with the MP. It's just time to move on from the analog drum machines to the digital. Nobody wants to run 50 million cables from your drum machine to a mixing board or interface to put each single beat in the computer. The Maschine will be my next upgrade for the studio

  • @FS890 the maschine does velocity, keyboard and regular sound per pad mode. (say you start left to right then from bottom to top.... for keyboard...... the first pad is middle "C" then next c sharp/d flat, third pad "D3" 4th pad "D" sharp/"E" flat and so on. the default is regular pad playing where a kick,snare,hht......are on each pad, its extremely versatile... and theres not a better drum machine.

  • @KnockSquared Gotcha. Maschine does notes, not octaves? I'm talking about the sample? Are you talking about the keyboard keys or the sample?

  • best beatmaking video i´ve ever seen.
