Coming from a coach...parents can ruin "phenoms." First of all, at 4, there's only 1 or 2 kids on the field that understand that they're in the middle of a soccer game. The fact that they're dominating a field of players that probably don't even know what's going on means nothing. Parents/coaches who run up the score instead of developing the other skills and the rest of team are going about it in the wrong way. If you focus on this one player, in 3 or 4 years the team is going to be horrible.

ur sons a pussy
Take a breather people. The title was 'tongue in cheek' for grandparent consumption. Never thought it would attract so many clueless comments. My son has developed quite well over the past three years and is now playing for Cosmos Academy West ((NY Cosmos) which is one of the top USSDA clubs in the country. He works hard and despite his naivete at four, has become a great little player. He has many years to develop but I'm confident the Cosmos is the right place for him. Cheers!!
