@JohnnyL80 Retro works in some movies. Besides, as much as I like the new logo, I think I would go back to a couple of the old Universal logos if I were making a movie.

This logo was from 1928.

YIKES.

Dawn Of The Dead (2004) Doen't Have This Logo They Use The 1997 Version
-
That's Weird

@JohnnyL80 Because Romero wanted a creepy black and white begining, and the 1997 logo can't portray that. Anyway, I love this. I think it's my favourite. Then, I prefer the 1963 (also seen in Inglourious Basterds)

Indeed it does because it is! As a homage to the Universal of the Laemmles this opening from a Universal film in the digital era attempts to capture the original flavor of the original via optics and sound..........yes it is super clear........but in the same way i prefer the Lp to the cd I give a nod to the opening logo of the late 20's and most of the 1930's.

from 1928

this came out in dead silence.

They didn't have Panavision lenses in the 1920s.
This looks recent for some reason.

Yea it does. I know that there is a simalar Universal Pictures Logo like this one from the 1930's But this came from the 2005 movie "Land of the Dead" I don't know why they didn't use the 1997 version.
