Why is it the Catholics only seem to see what the want to see, I mean all these videos are is you and the reverend talking about your newer books, such as the journeys of Christ books and your memiors. Not even a mention of your other works of art, such as the vampire chronicles. They are not exactly a sin, they're not against god in anyway. So why don't you talk about them anymore? I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

Anne has made me rethink my atheist ideas and Christianity in which I grew up with. As I read her Vampire Chronicle the ideas of evolution through god got my attention. However I am not ready to be commit to Christianity because I still feel lost in the words of the bible.

The Bible can be daunting. Start reading it purely for the beauty of the language. Start with the Psalms. Then read the book of Jonah, and enjoy the intentional humor of the ending. Then move to the Gospel of Mark. Gradually the language will become easier and more delightful and more rich and beautiful. I had to start anew with it, but managed somehow to get into it and now I love it with all my heart.

Actually, the Vampire Chronicles helped me with some very dark places in my life. I had often thought of the vampire as a metaphor for dispair, depression, addiction and the desire to trancend beyond the humdrum reality.

Actually, the Bible contains some of the most exqisitely beautiful passages ever read in classical literature.

I admire you Anne, You are so inspiring. I am not a christian but your journey to faith is just beautiful to read. I agree with the ending of the Vampire Chronicles, I love the books but I accept your need to change and that they just can't happen anymore. I really need to get my hands of Christ the Lord even though as I said above I am not a christian for some reason I feel compelled to read them.

-_- Man, I really felt for you when you talked about not understanding being a child. I always hated being a kid, because it was very insulting, almost undignified. Because adults didn't listen to me, and I always had a lot to say. It was like, because I was a child I didn't have a right to have opinions and was best off keeping my mouth shut.

Anyway, your interviews are quite enlightening. Its nice to hear such good things, and the things you speak of are indeed GOOD.
