hamsters do not hibernate so its dead i will know because my hamester died on feb 26 2012 at 9 :50 :( his name was jaden he was a good friend i could ever had i miss him so much!!! rip jaden

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm afraid it's dead, and the best way to tell that is by feeling it's heartbeat. .P.S. Don't ever pick up your hamster or guinea pig like that. It can sometimes hurt them. I'm sooooooo sorry for you. I think my hamster, Mouse is about to die. She is now 8 months old, but I don't thing that she will make it to the end of this year... :,(

Hehe its not dead ;3 i've had 5 hamsters they died of old age :( But hes not dead P: hes startled or hibernating hamsters/gerbils/rats/mice die with their mouth open and one leg up so hes fine ;D Sometimes hamsters freeze if they feel threatened so they already look dead and its some other animals food or they think its harder to detect hehe there so funny hes not dead trust me if he was dead he'd be curled i've been breeding hamsters for a while so x;

my hamster was hibernating then i looked up wat to do and it said keep them worm and pet the a little bit on the head but he died a few hours after i put him on the heating pad and petted him i think he had a heart attack cause he sudenly woke up and darted away then stoped and he was dead
