Any "fall" has potentially serious consequences !
There are enough variables & not immediately
seen hazards that NO mistake can be trivialized !
Some never learn this & eventually pay for it......

Malham Cove is such a beautiful place. There are some great walks in the area.

i lived near k2 as a child grew up there i have seen men fall like none of these falls make laugh when you complain about a blister lol think of frost biten nose face toes and limbs worst sherpas coming down bringing everybody with them dam seen too much i was only ten when i left that area but memories never go away people fell away from k2 in near by field with high winds god bless the climbers especially stupid one who think after their hill walk next is k2 takecare when climbing

"is he ok" (in response to a small fall ie this one) - NO - he's pissed he botched the redpoint...

the rope's not round your balls it's threaded through your harness! these commenters are crazy. this is on malham cove, very difficult climbing, everyone on there half-expects to take one in the course of a day. run of the mill.

I am climber myself and this fall is nothing. When you fall most of the times you know you are going to fall, and you prepare yourself(mentally). You need to learn how to fall of course. Oh and having a good belayer will not harm at all.
