I use belly dance for meditation and get so much from it.. and have just posted a moving/bellydance meditation video..

I have over 50 belly dance DVD's and this is one I use at least once a week. She inspires me. Another great DVD is Rania Renee's baladi set.

This is my favorite dance dvd. Worth every penny with everything she has to teach. To some she may see out there but the woman knows what's she is doing.

I like people who are "out there". They are much more creative. They think outside the box. I just watch Jehan live last night and she was AWESOME. I took a 2 hour class iwht he in Manhattan. I really nejoyed her class. She taught me so much. I wish I could attend her class more often by Manhattan is a long drive. I wish she had classes in Queens :(

The 2dvd set is amazing..
I am pretty much of a beginner and doing more basic practice dvds I can easily follow along with first.
but Jehan is breathtaking to watch - you see the movements "in context". it s a great inspiration, and even if her stance is not your "spiritual cup of coffee", she shows the soul of the dance connected with knowledge of the arab language, music and culture.
She s simply a delight to watch.
and I personally am pretty fascinated by the divine feminine as well :)
