After hearing 'Rock Spectacle' when I was 12 years old, BNL have been a huge part of my life. I was lucky enough to join them on stage for "It's All Been Done" this past Saturday (6.5.10).
@tmfcovers I don't think the brand they use changes the discussion, but in 2001, Steve used a Nady wireless guitar system, and Ed a Shure UHF U4D wireless system. At some later point, Both used a Shure UHF U4D wireless system. Ed switched to U14D wireless at some point. At the time of the U4Ds, they used U24D vocal wireless.
@TheHYPO Right. Shure´s website says they use the UR series wireless, but they don´t specify for what. From that, we can be sure that Kevin´s (and Steve´s) wireless microphones have UR wireless, but they don´t say anything specifically about guitar wireless. For all we know, they could be using Line 6 or Sennheiser or Carvin for their guitars.
@TheHYPO Ok, that does make sense. It certainly would save a bit of money to only buy one receiver, especially since they´re most likely using Shure UR series wireless (that´s something I´d expect you to know), and that series is very expensive. So that doesn´t really have anything to do with their PA system, rather with their wireless systems.
Wow. Very cool!
