นายอริสมันต์ พงศ์เรืองรอง แกนนำคนเสื้อแดงได้ขึ้นเวทีปราศรัยที่บริเวณสะพานผ่านฟ้าลีลาศ โดยเริ่มต้นกล่าวว่า วันนี้มือทั้งสองของตนได้ชโลมเลือดของคนเสื้อแดง และเอาไปทาไว้ที่ประตูทำเนียบรัฐบาลทุกด้านแล้ว จากนั้นจึงกล่าวว่า ถ้าวันนี้มีการแตกหักขึ้นมา ตนจะเข้าไปเอาเลือดชโลมตึกสันติไมตรี และตึกบัญชาการให้หมด ต่อมา นายอริสมันต์ ได้กล่าวด้วยความคลุ้มคลั่งว่า ในเมื่อวันนี้คนเสื้อแดงได้เสียเลือดแล้ว ถ้าวันพรุ่งนี้ (17 มี.ค.) นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ยังไม่ยุบสภาตนก็จะไปเอาเลือดหัวของ นายอภิสิทธิ์และนายสุเทพ เทือกสุบรรณ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี มาล้างเท้าตัวเองให้ได้ วันนี้ประชาชนเสียเลือด พรุ่งนี้อำมาตย์ยังไม่หยุด อภิสิทธิ์ ยังไม่ยุบสภา กูจะไปเอาเลือดมึง หัวมึงมาล้างเท้าให้ได้ ไอ้เทพ ไอ้แขนคอก ไอ้มาร์ค ไอ้หน้าหนา ไอ้ใจหยาบช้า ฟังให้ดี วันนี้ประชาชนเสียเลือด นับล้านซีซี ขอให้คืนประชาธิปไตยให้พื้นปฐพี ให้คนทั้งแผ่นดิน ถ้าวันพรุ่งนี้ยังไม่สำนึกในประชาธิปไตยของคนส่วนใหญ่ของประเทศนี้ ผมจะขออนุญาตนำทัพ และขออนุญาตมวลชนทั้งหมดตรงนี้ไปบ้านของนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีคนอื่นๆ ด้วย ... ผมอยากจะดูว่าเลือดชั่วบนหัวมันเนี่ย จะแดงเข้มเหมือนกับคนเสื้อแดงที่อยู่ตรงนี้หรือไม่ ผู้ต้องหาคนสำคัญคดีล้มการประชุมอาเซียนเมื่อ เม.ย. 52 กล่าวข่มขู่ ต่อมา นายอริสมันต์ได้กล่าวโป้ปดต่อไปว่าในเหตุการณ์วันที่ 7 ต.ค. 2551 กลุ่มพันธมิตรฯ ซึ่งเดินทางไปล้อมบริเวณรัฐสภา เพื่อไม่ให้นายสมชาย วงศ์สวัสดิ์ แถลงนโยบายนั้น ตั้งใจเดินทางมาทำร้ายเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจอยู่แล้ว อีกทั้งปฏิบัติกับตำรวจเหมือนหมูเหมือนหมา และที่ผ่านมาก็มีแต่คนเสื้อแดงเท่านั้นที่ออกมาแสดงความเห็นใจและปกป้อง ตำรวจ ดังนั้น ตนในฐานะ ผู้ที่ไม่เคยทำผิดอะไรต่อบ้านต่อเมือง จึงอยากขอร้องให้ตำรวจถอดเครื่องแบบและมาร่วมกับม็อบเสื้อแดง
