@blowenfuse that's not only in belgium, also the netherlands, scandinavia, etc
anyway, english is a european language and europeans who speak a different language from one another use it to communicate. english is the lingua franca of western europe. and if they sang in our own language(s) their music would never get any international exposure since, you know, very few people speak flemish/dutch and seem to have an aversion to it.

@moscalover (I continue:) Plus: English is a world language, personally I think lyrics and music sound best in English.

@musiccfreakk1996Be translation? : Probably because the Flemish music mostly is so 'wedding party-ish' or just stays in Belgium, doesn't make it national. I mean: 'Clouseau' is a Belgian band who sing in Flemish, but only Dutch-speaking people know them... I think... I mean, do you know them? Or 'de kreuners' or 'fixkes'. I don't think American people or people from other nationalities would start listening to Dutch (Flemish) music.

De reden waarom de dislikes minder zijn dan de likes, is omdat alle mensen die goede smaak hebben, dit soort liedjes niet opzoeken en dus niet kunnen stemmen.

@Sl0ppyJ same as similar americans artists, they all suck a disproportionately large amount of ass
