I dont think this is a demo so much as the actual track in a very early take in the studio when they were trying to figure out how it should go.

Yup, this doesn't suit Ric's idiosyncratic vocals. Ben Orr's more straight forward rock vocal style made this song a classic for me. I like what they did in the final cut with the quiet intro and the crescendo at the :42 mark. They definitely put some real polish on this one for the version that we all know.

Long live Ben Orr. He was a great friend. We also recorded some of these songs in N.Y.C. at ADR studios. I am so glad these postings are happening. Keep up the great work, and Merry Christmas.... Shayne.

this has a very 70's power ballad feel to it. in the style of "Rush" perhaps. very cool. i like it. thanks for uploading.
