this looks like a cardboard stack - I had one this size that lasted at least 5 years of regular shooting- when I compressed an area or it started getting a hole, I would just re-shuffle the cardboard layers and go again for months. Its hard to find a stack of cardboard this size that is so uniformly cut though.

that is a compressed cardboard archery backstop...easy to build and simple to replace the shot up sections....nice video
