What really sets us apart from our cousins? Awareness of the difference between ourselves and others?

Afraid not!

This video illustrates that our ape cousins also exhibit signs of self and other-awareness, by matching vocal sounds with the faces that generated those noises, with over an 80% success rate. This is more than random chance.

@Robomatic1000 yes. belief in a god and a heaven are all rooted in fear of death. people are horrified of the idea that after death, its an eternal darkness. but i tend thing of death more of an eternal sleep. do you feel any boredome, sadness or guilt while you sleep? of corse not. i cope with death by thinking of it like that. but for other people, that thought still scares them. we are an arrogant species that thinks were too good for death...
