Matthew Sabia brings us a couple tools that can help you determine what font someone is using on their website, printed material, or otherwise.

By either taking a screenshot or scanning a document in, you can determine which font is used easily through a web app called "WhatTheFont" by MyFonts. This tool analyses an uploaded image and matches it to one of the many different fonts in their database automatically.

Another handy web-based tool for identifying a mystery font is Indentifont, which asks you a series of questions about the characters in order to narrow down which font you may be dealing with. Identifont can also help you find a font by entering even part of its name.

  • Thank you soooo much!!!

  • AWESOME!

  • @Hi675445 I'm not sure lol. The real Harry Potter font is called "Parry Hotter" - Google it ;)

  • This is the same technology used to break the captcha that Chris has talked about before.... the id for the vid is KOWDHFOQS04

  • will harry potter font work lol

  • @cateye27 We don't really use the font tag anymore, so it's a better way to check the css (Inspect element in Chrome / Safari).

  • (Correct me if I am wrong but,) I think you can do the same think with text by right clicking in the browser and choosing "View Page Source." Then if you press Ctrl+F, and type "font" you can get the same thing. The image font method is very cool. There you go, much faster.

  • You dont need dual monitor when you have the snap feature

  • @ivanovandort typing in caps is fuckin annoying, using the word fag is hate speech, and there is no such thing as google explorer. And those admins do not read these
