Because of a rainy summer, we were about 3 weeks late making hay this year. Alot of the hay had started to die, but the "Grass" was really nice. The bales weighed about 40 pounds ,really lite for our hay here in Pennsylvania. It rained alot here early summer, but when it quit we didn't get any rain for almost a month and a half. We made alot of hay in that period.
