As Filipinos, we are lucky enough to escape much of the sexism that exist in the rest of the world. Our men and women mostly have equal opportunities in terms of education, political ambitions and professional motivations. I guess this roots from our culture. We were taught that women are to be respected, that our opinions should not be underestimated. More so, women have led many of our countrymen into battles/wars over the centuries. And for that, I am proud to be Filipina. 8D
