Woo-Hoo! My First Real "ON THE POLE" Move" : CRUCIFIX

I am so pumped! This short 20 second clip is the raw footage from my first ever, legitimate "on the pole" move: an upright crucifix.

I ran into a real rut when I arrived at the cross knee release on the Basic Moves video. So I just tried the Cross Knee "Sit" part of the move. Total, absolute failure. I mean over a hundred trials with nothing but sore arms and butt for two practices. Next was the Crucifix. I did have some success last week. I got one arm off the pole and did a "Supported" crucifix. Never with both hands off the pole, however.

What was the secret? WINDEX!

It takes forever for the water to get hot in the showere because we have a low flow showere head. So I started the water while I was finishing up practicing. I had heard windex helped people stay on the pole, so I sprayed it all over my legs and hands and the pole, too! I dried it off and climbed up the pole.

All I can say is that the Windex made me stick like glue, LOL! And I got a nice leg burn to prove it!

I am really pumped up. I've been doing nothing but spins for 120 days and I finally held myself up on the pole!
