Engineer: A Guide to the Middle Lane

This guide will teach you how to play the very balanced hero 'Engineer' on the middle lane in the game Heroes of Newerth.

To all those who say my opponent sucks, he was extremely skilled with 1700PSR; he got a bottle first and had his Assassins Shroud in under 20 minutes which is impressive for even professional HoN players.

dont think anyone realised this was just a troll video; at the time bottle first/shroud on soulstealer was fairly awful as it was pre ult nerf when pk/bkb was far stronger and obv you'd never start with a bottle on SS, its maybe plausible on other hero's but usually your better off spending 400g on minor stats/regen and saving 200g for fast bottle i guess. standard ss build @ this time was 2x +3agi 2x +minor totems +6runes. alternatively 1x pretenders crown 1x +3agi 2x minor totems +3runes

some people like to buy bottle at start, notail for example. no good players doesnt always get pk, depends on the game, some games you dont get shroud or pk at all. so my assumpssion is that YOU are the 1200 player.

@Ennis931210 are you serious that you say bottle is good as first on SS? let us calculate. SS has ~ 420 hp, without stat + engineer can let out about 300 magic damage with his turret - magic armor = ~ 200 dmg keg does about 300 magic damage again - magic armor he can attack 2 - 5 times depending on tower range when you sum everything up, you get about 550 damage. EVEN WITHOUT THE KEG DAMAGE SS WILL DIE WHEN HE GOES BOTTLE FIRST should i make a calculation with DW? ult = bye WITHOUT AUTO ATTACK

@karmixo I agree. SS badly needs some stats at the beginning to harvest some souls. His starting damage is pathetic, his healthpool needs a boost since he has no escape mechanisms, and getting a bottle first doesn't help him at all. His nukes won't be any good until they are level3 or something so he wont need a bottle until he can spam those.

Yep.. I'm aware of that, i played the beta and thought some people watching this vid would find it entertaining.

And now i know characters in LoL are apparently called champions, thanks for the info chap.
