Form could use improvement but since this is from so long ago i'm sure it has. Great leg strength but technique is more important than leg strength, not only on field goals but on kickoffs. I've seen 5'8 145 plb kickers outkick 6'2 210 kickers on form alone.

Do you have any video from his senior year I can only imagine how good he is now with the extra strength after 3 years

it IS soccer style,he's my babysitters brother,he didn't play football a majority of his life..he was a soccer stud to football.

he looks a little awkward when he kicks but he sure as hell has a boot. good to see him commit to ND

@jms08m note that this kids a junior, 5th best kicker in the country, going to notre dame, and also was recruted by usc(talked to a usc scout at a plymouth hs football game)

i just watched again to double check and none went out of the endzone by 5 to 10 yards, or at all for that matter. i realize my comment was a bit harsh and the kid obviously has leg strength, i was merely stating he didn't have good technique...and if that improves so will his kicks. the hang time was decent but gradually started to get worse and that's due to the lack of form. just saying...no need to get defensive man

The kid was only a sophomore at the time the film was shot and if you notice he is kicking off from the college 30. In high school from the 40 yard line the kid does kid 10-15 yards out of the endzone. It should be even better this year as a senior.

the point of doing the workout was to let the college coaches see how good his leg strength really is and to let them know he is as strong as some of the college kickers already and that in 3 years when he enters college they could have someone pretty nice. Notre Dame, Michigan, Cincinnati and the other schools that offered agreed.

honestly not that good, horrible form on kick offs, and place kicking is nothing spectacular either...

@jms08m If you are kicking them 5 to 10 feet out of the endzone nitpicking on his form is pointless.
