@Kubiklan Its not morality that greatness is being attributed to but their sway over the common man and ability to amass power. They are certainly good men, powerful would have been more appropriate.

I'm a bit puzzled why Stephen Fry lists a group of mass-murdering despots as "great men". I suppose he meant historical figures, but the connotation are not the same.
