"Internet culture is an absolute threat to existing power structures," says Ben Huh, CEO and founder of Cheezburger, the popular web humor brand responsible for I Can Haz Cheezburger, FailBlog, and much more. "Because people are finally realizing that they have power in their voice."
Reason.tv sat down with Huh to talk about internet culture, why the ability of individuals to create their own content is a good thing, the common ideology that should unite all internet users, and why we have to learn to live with internet trolls.
Approximately 4:30 minutes.
Produced by Zach Weissmueller.

Given the astronomical quantity of content on the internet, if only 1% is 'not' crap, that is a LOT of 'not crap'! The point made by Mr. Huh is not that there is not a lot of crap, but that what floats to the surface and gets noticed can have profound effect. Do you deny that Justin Bieber is a pop culture icon? Who is Justin Bieber? He's a freaking YouTuber that got popular.

I wouldn't say that--I'm religious (Christian anyway) and think Libertarianism falls aligns more with what I believe, though Libertarianism doesn't mean it aligns nowhere else.
Or maybe I'm just religious but not a nut. I don't know.

"Didn't Jesus also say: Do onto others as you would have them do onto you?"
No, he did not say that. Sorry, Jesus did not originate the 'golden rule'. Your foolish knowledge displays ignorance to us. You've only rehashed a few veiled ideas of Christ's teachings, so don't mistake your untruthful comments as cogent criticism of vince33x's statements. You did not make a true argument. You didn't prove a point. You didn't have a point to begin with. You didn't state anything truthful.

"the Culture, Morals, and Politics of the Internet"
The internet doesn't have a culture. Do highways have a culture?
The internet doesn't have morals. Does an automobile know good from evil?
The internet doesn't have politics. Are cell phones conservative or liberal?
Stupid video! Liberals use these type of ~ridiculous~ backwards arguments to poison people's understanding to simple concepts. The goal is to brainwash you into a state of perpetual doubting all concepts morality, culture, etc.
