Auvergnats (selon Hortefeux) :O).

The attraction for the French culture/history/climate and the quality of life are the main reasons : For the same productivity rate, Brits work three years more than the French and die 3 years earlier.

I'm from Normandy. I have no problems with having the English moving to Normandy as long as they respect Norman culture and the Norman language, but then again the English language and the English are under strong Norman influence. Normans and English are quite alike, both have Saxon and Norse blood as well as Celtic. But it's the French (Parisians) I don't want buying houses in Normandy. We call them horsains in Norman meaning, not healthy AKA foreigners. I find them disgusting.

@Anquetil79: You do not sound like a tough grizzled old soldier but some kind of dandified Nancy boy, who is afraid of wars! You are indubitably no sea-dog but the sort of pasty landlubber I have always despised. I'll warrant, the most exciting thing that has happened to you limpid prawn in a whole year, was the day when you forgot to put sugar in your porridge!
