Process of doing morphs in Zbrush 3.5r3 and using those morphs in Poser 6+.

Once your morphs is complete and operating in Poser, you may want to make a Full Body Morph. Easy. Just use "Spawn FBM" by Dimension 3D.

NOTE: Zbrush 3.1- will need to use Poser Scaler to import/export Poser OBJ files. http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/zplugins/

  • Nah you don't need Zbrush - its easy this way though! You can use Blacksmith's morph/paint suite found on daz and renderosity.

You can actually use just about any 3D software to make morphs for Poser including Poser-itself(using the morph brush, magnets, wave and such).

You can demo blacksmith's 3D suite - and I think you can demo zbrush to see which one you like. There are other programs available as well to assist in making INJ/REM poses for from-scratch morphs but too many to list here!

  • Well this certainly has helped me to get the morphs into poser but can they move with the facial expressions? I guess that is a question for next time.

  • @pukaprat

Sure; any morph you make in Zbrush will behave just as well as any usual "Angelina Jolie" face morph. No problem!

  • Tnx for this tutorial, I needed some useful infos about morph targets and I 've found all them here... Thumb up!

  • So let me get this straight, in order to create character morphs for Poser (from scratch). I need Zbrush?

  • awesome u made my day thnx,

  • @kurttunaama

DEFINITELY work in Layers using the Morph Brush so you can multiply/erase any details you add. The Move Brush is a huge help too when you're working on the lower sub-division levels. I usually use Standard and Displacement Brush most often. Change the alphas and they can work wonders.

  • @corinthianscori Which tools you strongly recommend for sculpting face and body?
