@squishy121888, I have to agree with you, up to a point, but please do not lump the Catholic Institution as Christian.

Overall, like in any organization, you have real people mixed in with the false. Not every denomination is a cult BUT I have learned awhile ago that Christianity borrows from paganism, ignorantly.

Good book is Frank Viola's "Pagan Christianity," it explains how it happened.

@Subtitledworship Yes, you're supporting my argument with your own example. Just because people become obsessed with other things, doesn't mean it's healthy to be obsessed with this fictional jesus character.  Yes, obsession is dangerous, regardless of whether it's socially acceptable.

Regardless, you didn't answer my question. Obsession is dangerous, regardless of the existence of who you're obsessed with and promotes neuroticism. Do you support this kind of neuroticism in your church? If so, I"d advise others to avoid this institution.

He is mentioned in extra biblical books like Josephus, etc.
