There is no such thing as on-stage hypnosis. Never was. Only exists because it's fun to watch. Makes them money. I'm into hypnosis whole life. And will shout from top of mountains: ON STAGE HYPNOSIS IS FAKE 10/10 times. All actors. Every single motherfu**ing time.

do not call it fake. when someone is in a somnambulist trance they look like a normal awake person but are very suggestible. I know I've been hypnotized and most of what I've done I could not remember. the only certain way to find out is to ask the person afterwards

People can really be hypnotized. Psychologists have used this technique for decades to treat certain types of disorders.

Hypnosis is extremely dangerous. It is almost inpossible to reverse its unintended consequences. It is fun and even funny to watch sometimes.

However, the dangers to the one who is being placed under hypnosis is far too great. It should never be done in this context. Licensed perfessionals know better.

I know someone who voluteered for onstage hypnosis, no she is not an actor, she was hypnotised into believing she was a chicken, it's all just a bit of fun. Skeptical people just take the fun out of it. Don't knock it til you try it!
