I watched this scene at 7 o clock in the morning - before I had breakfast. I didn't eat for about 8 hours after I watched this. This and the D-Day invasion scene from Saving Private Ryan are the only scenes in movie history that have made me want to vomit lol :)

@xxdropshot25xx Oh I didn't know that it caused human cells to grow. Have you see that viral site about Teddy and Jamie? Teddy had sent Jamie some sample evidence of the Seabed Nectar and told her not to eat it. Although she ate some out of spite and then I guess towards the end she ate the rest. You can see her pass out in the movie. Wonder if the same happened to her.

The "creatures" or "crabs" are deep sea parasites that came to the surface stuck in the monster's skin.

These parasites feed on a special material that Tagruato Company and it's subsidiary Slusho call "Kaitei no Mitsu" ("Seabed Nectar"), which causes human cells to grow at an accelerated rate.

In small doses it's beneficial for health as well as highly addictive, but too much expands people to death.

Marlena's blood cells multiplied exponentially since the attack, that's why she exploded.
