http://www.flyfishingoutfitters.com/p/s/listing.aspx?sid=rls-lrt-prem. The fact that virtually every fly angler in America has heard of Christmas Island is far from coincidence. Amidst the vast inventory of the world's saltwater destinations, Christmas Island is a unique natural masterpiece that magically, as if designed by committee, combines all the elements critical to fly-fishing success: Endless hard sand flats, remarkable numbers of cruising bonefish and trevally, and consistent year round weather await all who visit this remarkable atoll... Great pictures. I live on Kiritimati but am stuck in Fiji for a while. Nice to see Peter (the guide) is still getting out there.

Great shots. I went to Kiritimati back in '82 - spent Christmas there. We went specifically for the giant trevally. The style was spin fishing from flat-bottom boats using big lures like Rebel Windcheaters. We brought up 20-30 lb. trevallys. We took Air Tungaru from HNL and stayed at the Capt. Cook Hotel. What memories. ;-) Cheers!

Xmas Island is probably the best place to go for great numbers of bonefish. Giant Trevaly are a bonus.
