@drcheese2010 Yes it does, but it's Windows 7 Starter. I would recommend XP over Windows 7 Starter in all cases, especially for netbooks.

hey do they give u a win 7 recovery disk MY EEEpc 900 seris just died and lookin at getting the 1005 hab or should get the acer version. what pisses me off about it I cant upgrade the hard drive without killing the warranty

@6speed5 Honestly, I don't know. When I got the computer, it came with Windows XP and also a recovery disk for that. I'm not sure if the case is the same for the Windows 7 version.

Yes you can with the windows 7 desktop wallpaper changer application i have it now simple click on the exe choose wallpaper BAM ! your done !!!!

3:09 why forget about Opera? If you pay attention in the task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) when you use Chrome you will see that it tends to open up many processes. Too many of these are bad, processes are basicly things running in the back round and so if you got a lot your computers speed will be affected.

If you were to use Opera, and do the same thing you will notice there arent as many processes as there was when you used Chrome. (Opera uses only 1)

Opera = less cpu usage = more speed

Good choice with the Chrome browser. It's the fastest browser for lower power PCs like netbooks or single core P4s. Both have about the same CPU throughput.

I just got this netbook for 299 at best buy and I gotta say. While it isn't as fast as my Dell laptop it's really fast and easy to use.
