The Bible says, that if we confess with our mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
Only God the Son could die a redeeming death for us. Being God in the flesh, with no sin, our sins are washed clean in His pure blood. There is One Redeemer of all mankind, and His English name is Jesus Christ, Savior of all sinners who come to Him as we truly are: sinners with no sure hope in this life nor forever.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
