Seeing this clip, I believe Donovan would have made a good minstrel for "The Brave Sir Robin" in 'Monty Python And The Holy Grail'.

@TommyDaGreat I remember seeing it on late night TV outta NYC {WOR- channel 9, I believe} , probably around 1984, and I credit it for changing my life.

Before I saw this movie, my primary goal in life was to become a dope smoking loser feak.

After watching some of this, I realized how bat-shit looney these folks are decided that is not the road that I want to go down.

A revelation of sorts.

When I was younger, I found it nice to just put this on my VCR and zone out with all day. I learned a lot from this film about how to relate with many people I would meet later in life. If you are fascinated by religion, gurus, mystical sects, cults, and fringe spiritual movements (and also happen to like extremely long '70's style documentaries set to frequently great music) this is a gem. The Father Yod section alone is worth whatever amazon might be charging.

Lol, this movie is horrible. Everyone I know who attempted to watch it either fell asleep (including me) or got so tired that they had to turn it off earlier than halfways. Mostly after just 15 minutes. Lol. Good if you have sleeping problems but worthless as entertainment...

Worst movie of all time. Hippies who imitate the Beatles and go to India. Organic food, yoga, transendental meditation, environmentalism -- all of it spawned by this utter garbage of a religion. Why would anybody discard lsd for meditation is beyond me other than it was a fad that has turned the US into a bunch of clowns to this day. Whoever was parenting in the Fifties failed badly.
