The best thing you can do is get a Netflix account, and give your password out to all your best friends so they can watch movies all month long, for free.
And everytime I hear the industry griping (yes GRIPING) about how much ,money they are losing, blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda....I just think of all the musicians they have exploited and underpaid, ripped off, etc.
