Energy Towers Power & Water - Introductory Overview.mpg

A 5-minute 40-second overview of the Energy Towers technology. Developed at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology by Prof. Dan Zaslavsky, this is the most cost-effective technology for supplying zero-emission electricity from renewable sources. Electricity can be produced more cheaply than with virtually any other technology, including wind turbine, solar, coal, natural gas and nuclear. There also are 13 beneficial byproducts, including the ability to cheaply desalinate sea water in huge volumes.

What a healthy city can be produced as well:

1, cheap clean unlimited energy means little or no pollution of the environment

2, all aspects of city life: personal living, businesses, transportation can be built 'green' from the beginning

What will dictate the growth of this city (these cities) will be there ability to produce energy, agriculture, and local produces/manufactured to sell outside of the city, thus bringing external revenue into the city

3, Infrastructure will spring up: A, from Energy Management (maintaining facility and power grid and the selling of the energy produced B, from land development and agriculture C, from construction trades as house, businesses, and other essentials of a growing city develops

I can so see the towers that will be built can be incased in high-rise structures used as business offices and condos.

Continuing the idea of building the Energy tower in the Israeli desert using the aquifer as a water source, I see how a city of a good size might spring forth in the area because:

1, there will be abundant source of energy

2, there will be an abundant supply of water (brackish (ground) and fresh (desalted as a byproduct of the tower)

Now here is an awesome conbining of ideas: Place tthe tower in the desert over the aquapher they found there of brackish water. It will generate electricity morte cheaply (let pumping) and the brackish water can be desalted more cheaply for plants, animals, and people. Farms and cities can then fill the desert.
