Niblet the Cat took a year to find the fish, and now she is their best friend!
I worried that the fish might stress, but they all swim up to her as soon as she gets on her stool!
They seem to love her! Or are at least amused.....

  • Thanks! It took awhile to find pillars that were sturdy enough to hold 50 pounds of water and fish, but then I went to an outdoor statue place and VIOLA! There they were!

I love them, and sometimes place decorations of old ruins in the main tank to tie them all together.

  • Glofish are really cool, I bet they love the extra room in the 5!

Both smaller tanks have betta's in them.

I started with two 1.5's, and the betta's love that tank, as long as they're alone.

I now keep algae eating shrimp with one betta, and a couple albino corys with the other, so now they are both in 5 hex's. They love the room, but again, while alone, did fine in the 1.5 g!

    Thanks for looking!

  • Mostly she just pats the glass, but sometimes she gets carried away and uses her claws.

The big tank is glass, so she doesn't do any damage there, but she has put some small marks on the two side (acrylic) tanks!

Luckily, there is an acrylic polisher on the market and it keeps the tanks looking great.

  • Beautiful set-up with the "end-cap" tanks on pillars! Really nice atmosphere. I hope to set up something like this when I have a bigger place, but I wouldn't have thought of pillars! VERY COOL!

  • Hahaha. I love this video!

I also noticed that you have a Hex 5 and then a smaller 1.5 gallon tank on the far side. I have the exact same tanks! I have 3 glofish in the 5 gallon. They originally came in the 1.5, but I thought that was too small so I moved them. I was wondering what you keep in the 1.5 gallon tank? Is it a Betta? (It's too far to really see). Have you had success?

  • Does your cat scratch the aquariums glass?
