My daughter LOVES her new ATM machine!

My 11 year old daughter LOVES her ATM machine. Sure it sounds loud but the "concept" is cool! It comes with an "atm card" and she gets to set her name and OWN 4 digit password to log in (or else you can't get past first screen) and I told her to not even share it with me. She can make withdrawals (password has to be entered to open drawer), check her balances and make deposits of change and bills and the bills are pulled in smoothly just like the envelopes being pulled in at a real ATM. She does extra chores just to get some extra change in her allowance just to add to the machine. It's can be hung on the wall or stand upright on a flat surface. She's encouraged to save for things and now she's saving for a digital camera and a game for her DS (told her she has to pay for her own DS game and I'll pay for 1/2 of the cost of the camera). I LOVE it!

Waited until christmas (sale) and ordered on line. You can check Amazon.com or Toys R Us. It's called Zillionz ATM machine. They have various versions of money saving machines from this kind(so kids see the money parents get from the ATM machine is not just GIVEN to mom or dad and that it REALLY is mom and dad's money!! LOL). She isn't too quick now to want to always go to her OWN ATM to withdraw money any more and asks me LESS for money for little nick nacks and like to see her money "grow".

Now she SAVES for various things like video games for her DSi, etc. :-) I don't know her pass word so I CAN'T open it so she feels like a real account holder! It was like $26.00 on sale.

Very interesting, it looks really cool, I was originally going to get a bill and coin jar for me, instead of using an empty peanut butter jar to put my money I earned in, which I wrote the amount I counted on a piece of paper taped to my bedroom door.
