Philips is to redefine the home entertainment experience with the launch of 'Aurea' TV at IFA 2007 as the centerpiece of Philips' 2007 consumer electronics lineup.
The Aurea experience is like stepping through a window into a different world, as scenes radiate an aura of light and color beyond the frame. The result creates an immersive, ambient viewing experience.
Representing the next generation of Philips Ambilight Flat TV, the Aurea will be supported by a short film made exclusively for Philips 'There's only one Sun' by acclaimed director Wong Kar Wei.

For a Dutchman he speaks English very bad, and for a ceo it's shameful.
This is the ...th movie op youtube that I saw about ambilight, and this one also can't give a good impression, I guess you have to see it in real life if it's worth the money.

Too much on the eyes. The lights in the front panel are a horrible idea. It looks good for a few minutes but, honestly, it will hurt your eyes when you're trying to focus on a two-hour movie.
