@zimmerman10: This is not a fake...and I can tell....I was there ...

1) Gear is still retracted- not really the best practice to touch town using the tips of your props
2) Excessive speed for either landing or having just taken off
3) Aircraft was neither climbing nor descending
From those three points I conclude your either the most ignorant avaitor on earth or just another fucking YT twat..... I think the latter applies, have a nice day twat.

The Soviet Union lost one sub that day or evening in the mid 80's
-
ESM-pod was 7-10feet from the deck. Ppc was punished big time for this ridiculous low pass.

Well said. JAFA.

Depends on the country flying the bird, I would imagine. By MOA you mean minimum on-station altitude?
I watched a P-3 doing touch and goes at Wallops Island, VA one time, I'll tell you what, that pilot did some seriously sporty flying.
My question is, has a P-3 ever actually attacked a sub?

yes.
The norwegian P-3c orion attacked a submarine in the west coast of Norway.
they used torpedoes and depth charges against it. i don't know what happend to the submarine, but i do know that this was in the 80's.
