  • Yep. Fabulous Baker Boys. Michelle is so beautiful and so classy. It's a criminally insane that she hasn't won an Oscar yet. America can be clueless about it's own sometimes. We have the same problem in Canada.

  • " I have always liked Michelle Pfeiffer, but this movie, was such a plus, to realize she can also sing!" " She's So Beautiful!"

  • so fashion forward, i would totally wear what she's wearing TODAY, i heart michelle!

  • Great song. Great film. And Jeff Bridges has been such a cutie then....

  • @Firsk Check out Ruth Etting in the 1920's on YT if you want to hear the real thing.

  • it's called make-up, but i agree she does have a classy voice.

  • There are a few movie scenes that have gloriously caught me by surprise; The moment in "Bullett" when Steve McQueen's Mustang shows up in the bad guys' rear view mirror; Michael Clayton on the hill at dawn with the horses, his car in the background; The end of The Usual Suspects; The sound of Britt (James Coburn) rotating the cylinder of his gun in Magnificent Seven; and this absolutely wonderful scene from Baker Boys.

  • this is great music

  • Shame that this song was not included in the CD soundtrack as well with all the other Michelle Pfeiffer songs

  • @Jazsngr,Your assessment is accurate and the analogy Xlnt.I can't argue with you on this one.Being a pianist that has performed this countless times, this stunner of a piece is a crowd pleaser, beautiful melody, rich chord changes and slow tempo, largo-adagio,at best, and enhances the most average of "singers". Makes little demands until the sustained notes at the close to deliver the obligatory vibrato. Too many random open-mic hackers choose this one because it is no stretch and is a safe bet.

  • Tells the real story about the lives of true die hard musicians. One of the truly underrated movies ever.

  • Michelle Pfeiffer owns the song, as far as I'm concerned. No one has done it better.
