This has an Olympics/ early Charlie Rich "Moe Haired Sam" sound.

Did he say, "Me Dog"?

Love this song!!!

I love how raw Mark's voice was in the early days of the Raiders. Fang said he had the best scream of anyone in the music biz. I believe it. Just a gorgeous voice.

@kingvidiot66 The Who recorded this unwittingly thinking it was an old black blues after Pete Townsend taped a friend's private collection of R&B stuff. He didn't realize she was a Raiders fan and had some of their pre-Dick-Clark days stuff. The song was written by Mark Lindsay, which The Who have fully acknowledged.

They don't make music like this anymore. Today's pop music is shit. The only current music I like is Heavy Metal, and even that ain't what it used to be.
Paul Revere & The Raiders are good time music.

This is just another great example of how Paul Revere & the Raiders were a tight band in the '60's and '70's. This video shows how great they perform and how cool it is to see them clown around while playing (ex: using toy instruments, Paul Revere shooting an arrow to Fang, Mark and Smitty with that "OMG" expression when Paul shoots the arrow. Mark looks real cool with that hat.

Yes it is, it is the early version of it. They re-recorded it at a later date as the punkier version you are thinking of. Listen to the lyrics.
