A simple project performed to understand how solar cells work together, and how to use the power generated from the solar cells to power other devices.

I purchase my solar cells off eBay from a very helpful seller who's eBay username is: rebeccayi0904
(http://myworld.ebay.com/rebeccayi0904/)

(I highly recommend this seller, as again I'm new to solar cells/solar panels, and they did not mind answering some of my inexperience questions even though it had nothing to do with the auction itself.

This project was just a simple prototype, but I will be purchasing either a 50 solar cell set, or 100 solar cell set, and actually use the right materials to make a professional solar panel. I will also show my steps in making the panel for those who are interested in learning.

  • nice robert,

i want to ask you that what type of solar cells you have used in this video......i mean volts and amps???

    thanks

  • The EverGreen Solar Cells (0.5v / 3/5A) 3x6

  • 3.5A OR 3/5=0.6A ???

  • Sorry for the typo, it should be: 3.5A and not 3/5.

In the description is the link to where you can find my solar cells I used in this video as well.

  • Good job. Do you have any new tutorials?

  • Thanks

Yes this video here is quite old. Simply click on my profile name above to the right, or go to my homepage, and you will see some of the most recent videos. I've already completed the full solar panel project that I'm referring to in this video. :)

  • Commercial Solar Panels are too Expensive (Around $300 for a 100 Watt Solar Panel)

Your Only Option is to Build Your own Solar Panels

You need to follow some easy steps.....
